The E.C.W., the abbreviated form of the Episcopal Church Women, is an association of all the women in the Episcopal Church. It is recognized in the parish, the diocese and the nation. The object of this association which was formed in 1959 is a fourfold ministry of Worship, Mission, Fellowship and Advocacy. In the Diocese of Pennsylvania, the E.C.W. provides the opportunities to carry out the above listed ministries through both committees and the individuals on these committees. Two of these committees are the United Thank Offering and the World Service Committee. We have a full and busy schedule as keepers and proclaimers of the faith but we still have time for and enjoy many other pleasant activities. There are several trips yearly and interesting speakers for our monthly meetings. We also look at ourselves as the official hostesses of many of the church functions, sponsoring luncheons, dinners and special seasonal activities throughout the year.
